Pryme Group offers innovative engineering solutions to support the revitalisation of the UK’s nuclear power industry which will make a major contribution to Britain’s move to reduce carbon emissions.
Nuclear currently represents 51% of the YTD revenue. (Apr-21 – Dec-21)
Supporting the build of a new nuclear facility
Caley have been heavily involved in the nuclear market over the past year. Most recently they have been working with Balfour Beatty on large, fabricated structures for Hinkley Point C, an English nuclear power site built on the North coast of Somerset.
Providing Safety Critical Components for Nuclear Systems
Caley recently won a second, larger contract to deliver isolation caps, handling system and associated components for Hinkley Point C nuclear power plant. The isolation caps are the barrier between the horizontal tunnels and the vertical access shafts, they are safety critical during tunnel construction and future maintenance activities. They provide the ability to seal the tunnels at the outboard end, monitor the sealing integrity and enable the eventual controlled flooding of the tunnels.
Certfied Component Manufacturing
The manufacturing sites have F4N certification, allowing them to manufacture components for the nuclear market, with their main customer being EDF.
