The 5th Edition of The Press and Journal Energy Voice Gold Awards shortlists Pryme Group CFO

We are delighted to announce that Pryme Group CFO, Kerrie Murray, is a finalist for the Dr Mildred Dresselhaus Award. The judges, who are all experts in the field, shortlisted the contestants from a robust list of entries (Energy Voice).

What is the Award about?

The Press and Journal Energy Voice Gold Awards recognise the work of deserving people in the UK energy industry. The Dr Mildred Dresselhaus Award acknowledges the positive contribution of outstanding women in energy. Besides, the other categories part of this award are “above and beyond”, innovation, health and safety, renewables, industry leader, and small and large company of the year.

Who was Dr Mildred Dresselhaus?

The Award refers to the eminent physicist who paved the way for women in a field historically considered for ‘male-only’. Nicknamed the “queen of carbon science”, she championed for “expanding the opportunities of women in science and engineering” (NSF). The award takes a valuable step towards tackling gender imbalance in the energy industry.

When and where is it taking place?

The 2019 edition is the 5th since its launch. The panel of judges will reveal the winners Friday, September 6 at Chester Hotel in Aberdeen.
