Our Story
Pryme Group has broad capabilities supplying engineering products, services and solutions to diverse markets from oil & gas to nuclear to defence and marine to offshore wind and renewables.
The group comprises five businesses with a total of 260 staff operating over 12 sites across the UK. Each business operates under their own brand name as part of the Pryme Group.
Pryme Group was formed in 2014 by merging three GA Engineering companies, they were joined in 2015 three Newcastle-based manufacturing businesses to create a strong manufacturing capability across six UK sites now known collectively as GA Engineering. In 2016, testing and subsea specialists SengS joined Pryme, followed in 2018 by Hydratron, globally recognised leader of high pressure and flow control equipment, which expanded the offering further. Mergers in 2021 with Caley Ocean Systems Ltd and IMES International Ltd, both previously part of Seanamic Group, completed the group’s diversified portfolio.
A key benefit of these mergers is the vertical integration of the supply chain to create an integrated portfolio offering that allows the group to scale. As a diversified industrials group with enhanced technical capabilities, and a broad yet complementary range of disciplines, sectors and clients, Pryme is in a strong position to solve the complex challenges that are emerging as part of the energy transition. Our innovative engineering solutions combine high-quality design, engineering and project management, as well as, proprietary product lines, systems and lifecycle service support.
